I guess you would like to know the ‘me’ behind the ‘keys’…isn’t it funny how we still want that personal communication in this on-line world?

Anyway, I’m currently an instructor at Nunavut Arctic College, and I spend my days learning what I can from my ‘students’. This spirit of collaborative learning is so salient in the north – people must communicate to survive. It just seems to meld so well with what we are trying to do as educators using Web 2.0 tools to enrich our classes.

Right now I’m participating in a MOOC learning experience – a 36-week online extravaganza where experts in the field get to share their knowledge. Now, MOOC stands for: Massive Open Online Course – or maybe it’s Massive Online Open Course. Regardless of which acronym you choose, the important thing to note is that it’s massive. There is no exaggeration there. This blog is a way to sort through the sludge which often slows down my more pointed thoughts.

I hope you enjoy reading…and please comment; help me through this!
